Effect of body posture on ICP at the ISPN 2013 in Mainz
The 41st Annual Meeting of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery took place at the Electoral Palace in Mainz, Germany, from September 29th to October 3rd 2013.
We’ve previously presented material at the ISPN conferences on both cable-based and telemetric monitoring of ICP in the home setting. This year we presented data on the effect of postural changes on ICP in patients with CSF dynamic disturbances. The data highlighted the need for further characterization of the physiological effects of posture related changes in ICP.
The conference was followed up by a satellite Symposium of the International Hydrocephalus Imaging Working Group (IHIWG) from October 3rd to October 4th, 2013, which was also attended by our group.
